Originating in India, turmeric has been traditionally been used in Ayurvedic medicine and for its health benefiting properties.
Our pure organic turmeric is grown in Northern India where it thrives due to the hot, humid climate. It is the roots and the rhizomes of the Curcuma Longa plant that are consumed, and they give turmeric its characteristic bright yellow/orange colour and strong peppery taste. It is super fresh and super pure.
To make golden milk:
1. Whisk 1 cup coconut/ almond milk, 1/4 tsp. cinnamon, 1/2 tsp. turmeric, 1/4 tsp. ginger & a pinch of black pepper in a small saucepan. Bring to a low boil, then simmer for 10 minutes.
2. Transfer to a cup and add honey to taste (optional).
